Non-employment Fellowship Registration

Please use the button below to access the Non-Employment Fellowship Registration Form. 

We strongly recommend that Directors of Graduate Study, departmental graduate support staff or equivalent positions submit the fellowship information on behalf of the student. 

This form should be used when a fellowship meets the following:

• Awarded directly to a student (e.g., external awards like ACLS Dissertation Innovation Fellowship, American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship,  and/or KU Endowment funded school or departmental scholarships), and
• Requires KU to administer the stipend and/or tuition and fee support, and
• Provides a stipend amount at a level intended to replace employment 

Only fellowships meeting these criteria must be registered through this process.

Once a registration form has been submitted, one of our staff will reach out with additional information and guidance. 

The following information will be required to fill out the registration form:

1. Name of the funding agency, organization, or entity providing the award
2. Start and end date of the fellowship
3. The PI for the award (this may be the student or may be a faculty member)
4. The awardees name, student ID, academic program, and degree plan
5. Total amount of the stipend and any requirements from the funder regarding the frequency of the stipend disbursements
6. Whether the fellowship provides tuition and fee support and, if so, those amounts and details about how that funding is provided.
7. A copy of the award letter or notice of award
