Biography

As Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions, Holly Shriner manages the daily operations of the Graduate Admissions office and assists the Assistant Vice Provost and Director of Graduate Enrollment Management with strategic planning and execution of tasks and functions including recruitment and marketing, admissions operations, and post-admission graduate enrollment management, including support of graduate student retention and graduation. As manager of daily operations of the Graduate Admissions unit, Shriner supervises development of the administration of application and prospective student processes for graduate programs on the Lawrence and Edwards campuses, as well as the processing of graduate applications, which includes reviewing applications for minimum university requirements and conducting international credential evaluations.

She directly assists programs in the schools of Business, Education, Music, Professional Studies and Social Welfare. She joined KU professionally in 2011, providing graduate support to applicants, students and faculty in three programs within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and has been with Graduate Admissions since 2013. She served for a number of years as Secretary of KU’s Staff Senate and as a Staff Senator, and holds a bachelor’s of science in journalism and a master’s of science in education in higher education administration from KU.
